Don't Try This At Home: Marshmallow Peeps Tested As Bulletproof Vest

Turns out Peeps only seem like they're indestructible.

Pro shooter Kirsten Joy Weiss, who has a YouTube channel full of trick shots and other gun stunts, recently made a protective vest out of the marshmallow candy, then fired at it to see how much damage the treats could take.

Turns out, not much.

Of the four weapons tested, three fired right through the not-very-protective layer of sticky marshmallow. The only bullet the Peeps stopped outright was a .22, "and .22s are actually more lethal than people think," Weiss said.

Weiss has taken Peeps to their limit before, testing the marshmallow chicks at point-blank range last year, and seeing how many it would take to stop a .22 the year before that.

She also put a shooting spin on Halloween, using a gun to "carve" jack-o'-lanterns.
